About us

The UCRAV platform has been developed based on two projects funded by CORFO. In the first one, the main objective was to establish a pilot that could enable us to test the actual feasibility of integrating instruments in a Network and the second project hopes to provide an operative services platform for the benefit of Universities and the productive sector.

Pilot stage

Stage 1 project's objective:

To contribute to the efficient use of high value equipment possessed by the university system and its associated services, by developing a pilot service offering remote services in real time which improve accessibility to support research and analysis in the participating universities.

Stage 1 project's results:

  • Adaptation of Equipment for collaborative use
  • Researchers Collaboration Network
  • Services Evaluation
  • Operative Services Platform
  • Promotion mechanisms

Service implementation stage

Stage 2 project's objectives:

To implement a remote instrumentation services which enables the analysis' visualisation in real time with a high level of client-provider interaction, with the aim of contributing to the efficient use of high value scientific instruments possessed by the university system and expand its services' coverage to the productive sector by means of a web platform which gathers in its functional and visualisation design the evaluations carried out during this prototype stage, as well as the requirements and needs stemming from the potential market research.

Stage 2 project's results:

  • To improve the existing UCRAV pilot platform (Collaborative Use of High Value Resources), complementing it with new service units, administration and logistics capacities, as well as technological improvements based on the collection of requirements and recommendations of the evaluation and user groups.
  • To elaborate a Business Plan, which can serve as the basis for the transference of services to the target market.
  • To raise awareness about, promote and transfer the experience gained and the project's results to the university, scientific and productive spheres for both potential service providers and users, with the aim of promoting these services and capture new users for these services.
